#801 closed enhancement (fixed)

Prevent accidental, involuntary edit of dive postion on Globe

Reported by: longjohnsilver Owned by: tcanabrava
Priority: minor Component: Qt-UI
Version: 4.3 Keywords:
Cc: Plattform (please give specifics in the ticket text): All

Description

Current edits implementation on globe prevents me to use Subsurface to store valuabel GPS position of my dive.
Currently the user can inadvertently move a flag on the map (hence changing dive position) without being immeditely alerted of the edit.
If the user is editing his logbook for other reasons he will never realize he lost a gps position.

This could be solved through a global approach:

Or maybe having a way to lock globe edits somehow.

In df46b85ee1cc7a33fe35e69c19345a59c966fa41/subsurface:

Don't just change the location when double clicking on the globe

Instead be consistent with other parts of the code and put us in editing
mode so the user can accept / reject the change.
